Monday 21 September 2015

We woke up to the rain this morning and it rained and rained again!

We can't go anywhere until Richard gets here to finish off so we swung the front of the boat over to the other side of the marina to fill up with water then reversed half way down where we met Richard and he finished off.  We got on our way at about 4pm and reversed the rest of the way out of the marina and only just managed to turn round lifting up both the front and rear bumpers!

We got Lou helping with the locks which she really enjoyed and it made passage much quicker for us.  Lovely countryside along this bit.

We found a very quiet spot just before Middle Bridge to moor for the night.  Poor Lou experienced her first very dark spooky night in the country!

Filling up with water and emptying the loos!

It's so narrow here that we didn't untie the back just pushed the front over to fill up.

Had the hair done - brunette!

ET phone home.

That's Richard fitting the new element to the emersion heater.

Reversing out of the marina.

There's Weston Lady - this was a really tight turn - we had to lift the bumpers front and rear!

Entering Stourbridge Canal.

Off to Birmingham.

Watch out there are pixies about...

Ahh Raddox!

Sun going down in suburbia.

Can't believe that I managed to get a photo of a weathervane and I didn't even realise until I uploaded it!

Getting the hang of things.

Pink clouds.

Half moon.

I call Steve Grumbleweed!!

I thought Lou had come to stay not the Blues Brothers!

This is how dark it is - you can see the moon in the sky and the canal but nothing in between.
