Upped pins at 11am and got on the way to Limehouse. We reached Old Ford Lock by the Olympic Park
and couldn’t believe the amount of rubbish in the River – what a shame. A kind passer-by helped Steve eventually drag
a mattress out of the river just in front of the lock gates – can’t imagine who
would throw such a thing into the river.
We chased a family of swans, mum, dad and 7 cygnets out of the lock and
eventually filled it to carry on our journey.
Arrived at Limehouse at 1.30pm – what a great place!
