We are still moored at the Titantic Hotel but know that the chance of moving before Thursday is becoming less likely.  30 degrees today - this is summer!  What better day for a boat trip?  We bought our tickets and the queue was so long that we decided to wait for the next one.  Once on board we stood next to two ladies, one of whom was a sergeant with Barnet Police!  We got off in Birkenhead to see the U-Boat, then caught the ferry back.

We wandered into town and had some lunch, then came back for a cool down.

McDonalds...but not as we know it - Liverpool is full of great little boozers!

And fantastic buildings like the original first railway station.

The street name here is Covent Garden!

The first of many photos I have taken of the Liver Building!  who remembers Sandra and Polly?

We had a quick look in the Pier-master's House - typical of a 1940's house.  Steve says he could be in his nan's kitchen!

On board the Ferry looking back at....The Liver Building!  And the cruise ship that docked for the night.

So Ferry Across the Mersey - that's Birkenhead over there!

a peep in the U-Boat - this was the battery room

Leaving Birkenhead and the U-Boat.

Whenever you look back at the City you see the Cathedral dominating the landscape - apparently the largest Anglican Cathedral in the World...

Of course the Beatles - we kept meaning to go back and have our photo taken with the them but kept forgetting so we have someone else's family posing for the photo!

There are so many eateries and drinkeries! many of them have great insides and they all include many original features.
