Happy St Georges Day!
We arrived back at Shillingford Bridge Hotel this morning,
unloaded the car and took it back to Didcot, they then gave us a lift back to
the boat. Pleased to say it was still
there and all ok!
We left the mooring at about 12 noon and chugged for a
couple of hours and found a nice spot to moor at Clifton Lock in Clifton
Hampden. It was cold out on the water
today. The locks are all still self
service which I quite like as it means I get to get off and do something!
I went for a walk into Clifton Hampden to post a birthday
card, it is a pretty little village but nothing there except a general store
and post office which was already closed at 4.30pm!

Goodbye Shillington Bridge Hotel - thank you for looking after The June Rose. |
 |
Could have been there for sometime... |
 |
There's nothing not to like around here. |

Looking back at Castle Hill. |

Lovely lawn! |

Clifton Hampden Bridge. |
 |
The lowest bridge we have been under this season. |
 |
Glad they have sorted out the flooding in the area. |
 |
Nice quiet spot for the night. |
