We had about an hour and a half then the rain came but we were ready for it with the waterproofs. We were heading for Windsor but decided that as we couldn't feel our fingers or toes we would stop at Staines - I've never been to Staines....I have now and I'm quite impressed with the town. We found a mooring just on the edge of town. Although a short cruising day with the cold and rain we called it a day after 4 hours and had a warm up in front of the fire then had a walk into town.

Leaving the naughty spot! |
We're 57' but look tiny in the locks on the Thames! |
Mandarin Duck. |
That's the entrance to the River Wey - we will go back and finish it one day. |
A choice of chairs and you have to sit on the table! |
Chertsey Bridge. |
Through the gate and onto the path of the next chapter. |
All in a day's work - up a tree in front of the M3 on a rainy day with his chainsaw swinging from his belt and he still found the time to give me a wave! |
What makes you come home from work one day and say I think we need a polar bear on the veranda darling! |
Moored up in Staines and the rain has stopped for a while. |
