Woke up to a bright sunny morning even if it was a bit
chilly still. A lady from the council
knocked on the door to collect the £10 overnight mooring fee and left us a booklet
with some history about Wallingford and things to do in the local area.
We went for a walk around the
town, again another lovely little town which we would have previously just
driven past on the M40 without even knowing it existed!
We left the mooring at about 1pm
and made our way through Benson Lock and up to Shillington Bridge Hotel where
we are going to meet Rob and Claire for dinner and leave the boat for a few
nights.

You can smell the rapeseed growing in the fields. |

Thankfully the weir is not raging as fast as it was when we walked here yesterday. |
|
Shillington Bridge, we are mooring just under the bridge on the left. |

Cute boathouse - today's neighbours. |
