Wednesday 28 September 2016

Steph and Mike left – we waved as they went by.  Al and Shirl then came to meet us and we had a quick lunch in the pub then back to the boat for a coffee.  It was a lovely afternoon and after they left we got going again.

We are meeting mum and dad at Stoke Bruerne on Sunday when they come to pick Lou up so we need to get some miles under our belt.

Quite a few locks to do immediately on leaving here so we did eight locks and stopped just after Cranes Lock with Pywell’s Lock in clear view for tomorrow.

It was really dark and very windy tonight – a bit spooky!

Welcome onboard - Lou with Al and Shirl.

Leaving Kilby Bridge behind.

Number four of Eight locks this afternoon.

Back out into the countryside.

Come on Captain can we moor soon - the sun is going down!

It only seems like yesterday that the sheep were being shaun - now they are all wearing their winter coats again!

Red sky at night...shepherd's delight.
