Sunday 8 and Monday 9 May 2016

Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad!

We did not move today as Mum and Dad and Gary and Carolyn came to see us.  We have made good progress over the last couple of days so it was great to catch up with family.  Unfortunately Newbold on Avon was not a pretty little village like the ones we have chugged through recently and we went to the very popular “The Barley Mow” for lunch and wished we hadn’t but there was little choice!

We had another family day on Monday, our nephew Jay and his girlfriend Kat called in to see us on their way home from a weekend in Wales – we ate on board this time!

When they left we set off again as we had been on our 48 hour mooring for 48 hours!  It’s so nice when the sun shines.

Lucky black cat walking the gunnels!

Taking over the towpath!

Mummy Mills.

Daddy Mills!

Not sure what's going on here!

On the back deck with Jay and Kat.

Goodbye Barley Mow!

And through Newbold Tunnel.

Very quickly we are back in the countryside.

The trees are definitely showing signs of spring at last!

Five miles up the canal from Newbold on Avon - we'll stop here for the night.
