OK so summer is over!
Why does the English weather do that – you have a great weekend of
sunshine, the shops have run out of everything bar-be-cue, you’ve dug the
shorts and T-shirts out THEN you wake up the next morning and you are right
back to winter again!
The weather forecast said it would be raining less in the
morning so we set off at 8am and arrived at Hawksbury junction at 11am - they lied it pretty much rained all the way! There are no locks except one very small one
on this stretch of canal so once through we stopped to empty and fill the tanks
and as it was dull, miserable and wet we decided to moor at the next
opportunity.
We are now on the Coventry
Canal. Hope it is as nice as the Oxford
Canal.
Off we go - it's been raining but has stopped for the moment. |
Under the M6 |
Five ducklings - I wonder whether two of these are girls and the other three are boys or are two of them blond? |
Shame it's raining as I am sufre it would all look nicer in the sun. |
Stripped down Dyson! |
At the hop! |
Real life tonka toy! |
This garden had so many od cars in it including two porsches, two minis, two VW camper vans, a lotus and many more! |
Pylon Party! |
Through the only lock - the river levels were only about 4 inches different. |
Hawksbury Juntion. |
Turning right onto the Coventry Canal - we have moored just along on the right. |
