Pushed off from Simpson at 9.00am and shortly arrived at Fenny Stratford Lock – our first swing bridge!  Chugged along through Stoke Hammond Lock, the Soulbury Three Locks where there was a Canal and River Trust Volunteer – made life a bit (well a lot) easier.  All lovely countryside through here onto Leighton Lock, through Leighton Buzzard and Linslade.  A few spots of rain at Grove Lock then on through Church Lock and Slapton Lock – these places are not a million miles away from where we lived but we’ve never heard of them.  A couple more locks at Ivinghoe and found a nice little spot to stop for the night just before Seabrooke Lock.  Very rural and quiet here even though there are quite a few boats moored here - I don't think many are liveaboards.  4.30pm.

Our first swingbridge.

Glad Steve did this one - even he needed a hand!

Thought of you Claire!
