We are now two weeks into out cruise, here's an update on some facts. We have travelled 167 miles; been through 132 locks; and we have 861.4 cruising hours on the clock, seen 26 floating footballs since we left Ely. We have broken a hook off the door, broken the handle that open and closes the loo, lost three fenders, retrieved two, lost the top off the chimney - all that taking it off through the Middle Levels and on the River Nene - then we knock the hat off on a tree coming out of a lock! and I've lost my phone cover....but we are still loving it.
We should have stopped just after the last lock rather than just before this one but hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Couldn't resist taking this picture - how many Canal and River Trust men does it take to reset a mooring post? - four - one setting it and three watching! |

That's us in the middle moored in Rickmansworth. |
Retying the fenders |
Whoops - Willow just hit the bank - they did say they hadn't had the boat long - they didn't realise the weir would push them over - I don't know what they are going to do when the wind blows! |
Not sure if you can make this out - it is a giant teddy bear and two tyres tied from the top of a pretty tall building - wouldn't be my idea of a fun swing! |
Cute! |

What is it about crocodiles on the Grand Union! |
