Sunday 12 April and Monday 13 2015

Made an early start - heading for Berkhamsted where we can restock the food supplies.  7 locks one after the other and we are here fairly quickly (3 hours) so a chance to do a bit of housework and clean the roof!!  We've been so lucky with the weather.  Went for a walk along the towpath.  It's busy because it is a Sunday and the sun is shining but a nice spot.  Have suggested to George and June (Steve's parents) that they come to meet us for lunch here tomorrow so we'll spend two nights here.  We can slow down a bit now that we know we are making good progress.

Waiting for the lock to fill at Dudswell - seems to be taking forever - oh no there's a paddle still open at the other end - opps!

Northchurch Lock - these geese were giving Steve a hard time when he was opening the lock!

Scrubbing the desks - well the roof!

A walk along the towpath "Port of Berkhamsted" Grand Junction Canal

This is a house now I think although it used to be something to do with the Port of Berkhamsted on the Grand Canal Junction

What is that in the conservatory?
Woke up to buggie aerobics in Berko!

Filling up the tank - we didn't even have to move and 75p a litre - not bad!

Nice clean roof!

How many Canal & River Trust men does it take to dig a hole?   Four - one digging and three watching!!

Where did you get that suntan?  the Caribbean - no the Grand Union!
