Left Berkhamsted at 7.30am.  Through Berkhamsted, Ravens Lane and Rising Sun Locks - then saw  'Regent Gilford' (Cecile and Ian) who asked if we wanted to do the locks together - good plan as there are several to get through today.  Makes life a lot easier.  We didn't want to stop in Hemel Hempstead so the plan was to either stop before we got there or after we have been through.  As there were two of us doing the locks we have moved a lot quicker so we will get through to the other side.  Cecile and Ian are stopping at Apsley - we've decided to carry on to Kings Langley.  Moored up at Kings Langley but still cannot get reception on the TV so thought we would carry on a bit.  Now stopped under the M25! not ideal but we have been through 20 locks today - the hands can't cope with anymore and we still have notreception!  oh well we'll have to read tonight.

Leaving the Port of Bekhamstead and joining the Grand Canal Junction - look at the state of that roof - don't moor under trees if you've just cleaned the roof!

In a lock with |Regent Gilford - there were a couple camping at the lock - they had cycled 30 miles from Camden yesterday!

Through the swing bridge holding up the traffic - Notice reads 'Any persons in charge of a boat, barge or any other vessel who fail to close and fasten this swing bridge after passing through the same is liable to a penalty of ten shillings.  By Order'
Hurry up Steve we are holding up the traffic.

The Herons here on the Grand Union are not afraid like the ones on the Great Ouse - I walked right past this one on the towpath!

Arriving in Kings Langley

Penny for them....

M25 near junction 20 is our garden tonight!
